I went out and bought a plant and put out some candles. Now it has that 'spa feel'. 'Spa feel' is a good thing.

I'm a writer with four novels and more than two dozen short stories published. The best known is probably my novel China Mountain Zhang. A collection of my short stories, called Mothers and Other Monsters, was published by Small Beer Press in July '05.

Darby, since I have A Thing about people who drive and use cell phones, I couldn't actually make lots of urgent calls. So I held my phone to my ear and pretended.
