Hudson
This is Hudson. Hudson was found along a highway and after flyers were posted and ads placed in the paper and no one claimed him, he ended up in rescue.
We have been asked if we would foster with intention to adopt--it gives us all a chance to get to know each other. So on Friday (after going to the vet on Thursday to get 'snipped') Hudson comes here.
The rescue folks say Hudson is between a year and two years. They describe him as rambunctious, friendly, good with kids and babies (the woman who found him has an 18 month old.) He's a bit of a doofus. He loves tennis balls, walks in the park, and probably pina coladas.
Bob and I can't wait.

As the proud owner of a dog who aspires to reach doofus level, congrats!
he's quite beautiful, maureen. i hope all works out for everyone involved.
Yay, Hudson!
He's thoroughly adorable. Congratulations!
Finally! Someone for Shelly to love to hate! Awesome. He's a cutie. -Michelle
Sweet. Congrats and good luck. I see many advantages to a doofus over the calculating and cunning miniature coyote types.
Oh yay! He looks really sweet :)
Awww! Dang it, that picture makes my heart hurt.
:)
:(
Oh, he looks like a sweetie! Best of luck with the getting-to-know-you process.
Awww...can't wait to meet him (and Shelley...)
He looks like a sweety. I'm glad he's going to be in a good loving home!
Awwwww.
Goldens are generally doofuses, in my experience, which doesn't make them any less lovable. He looks like a happy dog.
He looks lovely. I hope he and Shelly and the rest of you all get along.
nuts, that was me, Ellen.
Shelly needed someone to be nervous about!
Wow, that dog is ridiculously cute. He looks so happy!
He looks like a happy guy. How'd he get his name?

Oh, good lord, is he ever cute.
Adorable.
I grew up with golden retrievers. They are the kindest, most loving, doofiest dogs on earth. You're going to love him, and he's going to love you back twice as much.
Now Sadie wants to come visit with us. She says Hudson is a total hottie.
What a beautiful boy! May he bring much laughter and joy into your home!

What a handsome fellow! I can't imagine what kind of person would have abandoned him. Their loss is your gain.

I'm so sorry that you can't have Smith with you anymore, but loving someone new does help.
My cat of thirteen years, Opie, died last March and I started fostering kittens thereafter.
I wish that our local shelters had a foster-with-intent-to-adopt program, because that's really smart.
About a month after Opie died, we adopted a cat from the Humane Society named Finnigan. He liked us a lot at the shelter, but once we got him home, he wanted nothing to do with us!
He's coming around now, but it's good that you'll have a chance to see if Hudson wants to live with you. Of course, how could he not? And he's beautiful!
That is a very handsome dog.
Happy Hudson day! Looking forward to the flyers.
yep he looks just like the kind of guy who'd love strolls on the beach, moonlight smoochings, and pina coladas. It's a good thing he's getting snipped. What a very fine name Hudson is. Congratulations to you all!
