Dog Rescue People Like Us

We had our dog rescue home visit today, and the dog rescue person was very pleased with us. Shelly only attacked Tripper twice and he was such a big sweetie of a Golden that he didn't really seem to mind. So she will forward our names to the dog-person matchmaking committee and in three to four weeks we'll probably get to meet a Golden or two.
Three to four weeks. (sigh)

Yay! And you never know -- it could always happen sooner.
Make sure to ask for a non-smoker.
Yay! One more hurdle down!
Non-smoker, non-partier, right? (Bob laughed out loud when he read that comment.)
So funny that it takes so long - you guys are a dog's dream family! I think rescue groups deal with so many horror stories that it makes them skew toward the hyper-cautious. Lucy & Linus stand ready to bridge the gap - you can come over and rub their bellies anytime.
I'd love to come see Linus and Lucy. Maybe they could come for a sleepover? Too bad I'm going out of town tomorrow morning...
