Blogs I Follow
Eat Our Brains The brain child of Steve Gould.
Chrononaut Log David Moles smart and funny observations. Actually, what I really love about his log is the design, which fills me with envy.
Pen in Hand I've known Karen for years, but didn't know that in addition to being a writer and a journalist and a volunteer at the local raptor center, she is also a beautiful illustrator. The most beautiful blog I follow.
Austin Kleon It seems absurd to talk about this blog without including any images, but lets just say it's fun, sharp and graphical.
Not a Journal (Except Now It Is) If this were a blog, it would be about Small Beer and Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, except it's not a blog. Except it really is.

A woman of gleaming passion
Brighter and stronger than even she knows
Through words, written and spoken
She opens minds and hearts
Brings tears and laughter
Wife, mother
Sister, daughter
Author, teacher
Friend
Every soul she meets
She touches deep within
She transfers a small piece of herself
Freely, without question or need for reward
A light that shines within each of our hearts
Nurturing and strong
Her own personal army of souls
The evil force, buried away, has resurfaced
Threatening to diminish her strength
Her very essence
Again it will fail
Her army stands ready to fight for her
Brighter and stronger than even she knows
This woman of gleaming passion
wow
nothing like a bit of bad poetry to end your day - don't you think?
Maureen, I'm with you. Wow.
I left a comment on your "bad two weeks" post.
Sending you love...
Bad wow or good wow?
Overwhelmed by the compliment, wow.
Before you panic and think this was someone else (and I know who you are thinking), it was me. First attempt at poetry I have made in quite a while. Meant every word.
Donna, you probably haven't written poetry since we had that disastrous poetry course in college!
